This 1968 Ford Bronco is a modified half-cab example that was acquired by the seller in 2020. The truck was originally delivered to Richardson Ford of Tyler, Texas, and it is finished in dark green with a white fiberglass hardtop over a black leather interior. Power is from a 347ci stroker V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a Dana 20 dual-range transfer case. Modifications are said to include a Wild Horses 3.5” lift kit, a Warn winch, ARB front and rear air lockers, four-wheel disc brakes, TR beadlock wheels, a dual outlet exhaust system, and much more as described below. This modified Bronco is now being offered with records from current ownership and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.
The body was repainted in dark green during previous ownership and a cowl-induction fiberglass hood was added, while a factory steel item is included in the sale. Additional modifications include powder coated aftermarket bumpers, a 9,500-pound Warn front winch, halogen headlights with Hella HID fog lamps, body-colored fender flares, and step bars. The spare tire shown above is not currently mounted to the carrier
The truck rides on 15” TR Beadlock wheels that are wrapped in Maxxis Bighorn tires sized 33×12″, and the front axle is equipped with manually locking hubs. The brake system features 13″ Ford 1-ton front rotors and Wilwood 12.5″ rotors out back, and the suspension has reportedly been modified with a Wild Horses 3.5” lift kit and Rancho 9000 adjustable shock absorbers.
The cabin features twin black leather bucket seats from Tom’s Bronco Parts separated by a locking center console. Heat and sound deadening material was reportedly added to the cab and bulkhead, and replacement carpets were installed during previous ownership. A Kenwood head unit is wired to XM4 Kicker speakers, and the seller reports that the heater assembly has been replaced.
A three-spoke mahogany-rimmed steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for alternator charge, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. An auxiliary 8k-rpm tachometer is affixed to the steering column, and the five-digit odometer shows just under 4k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 347ci Stroker V8 was installed during previous ownership and is reportedly equipped with the following:
- Ford Racing aluminum heads
- Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold
- MSD ignition
- Ceramic coated headers
- 23-Gallon fuel tank
- Mean Green 200-amp alternator
- Flowkooler water pump
- Aluminator aluminum radiator
- Custom dual exhaust with Varex electronically-controlled noise adjustment
Power is sent to all four wheels through a Ford RAT three-speed manual transmission and a Dana 20 transfer case, along with a Dana 44 front axle and a Currie 9″ rear end. Further modifications include a Hurst shifter, Wild Horses driveshafts, and ARB air lockers at each end. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery.
